Valentine's Day..

First off, pay no mind to the font. It's this way in lieu of the holiday, not because of my gayness. Well, for the first time since 2002, I'm single on a Valentine's Day. For the most part it's bittersweet. It's nice to not feel obligated to buy gifts, get time off work, or conform to the holiday's traditions. On the other hand, it sucks being alone and not having someone wake up beside me wishing me a Happy Valentine's Day. Everything listed I had anticipated. But what I did not anticipate was the feeling I would have when I would reminisce about holidays past. Nor the feeling I would have when I would think about others Valentine's Day. I kinda get the feeling that says, "oh, they're doing that...". A mixture of helplessness, distraught, and sadness.
I guess the day couldn't end sooner.

valentines day is overrated -- when you are in love, or even a-lot-of-like ;) you shouldn't need some hallmark holiday somebody made up to have an excuse to make your special someone feel special. on a lighter note i think you should enjoy being single. i dont't mean live it up being a male whore doing things that are actually gonna make you feel worse --- but there really is truly something amazing about enjoying your OWN company. besides, until you can learn to enjoy yourself -- you'll never truly be able to love or be loved fully --- everything else is just co-dependency because you need someone to be happy. look at it this way -- even if you dont get married for 10 more years -- half of your life is going to be spent NEVER being alone again.......so enjoy it while you got it :)

I remember someone telling me not to dwell on the past...that someone was YOU! I know that it's hard to not think about years past on a day like valentine's day...heck, I even think about years past, but you can't let it bring you down. I know....easier said than done. You're a very social and likeable person....I can pretty much guarantee that next year at this time you won't be feeling this blah :)

Ya know I have to agree with the Mu on this one. I don't think that this time next year, or even a few long months down the road, you'll be part of the single crew.

Sometimes its a case of always wondering what could be. "If I'm single, things would be better if I wasn't." True in some regards, but not true in others. You have more "freedom" on many regards, and I'm sure you'd admit that to be happy in this world does not require the prescense of someone else.

And oh, no... I would not appreciate if you touched my butt :P

hahahahahahahha

well, Thanks for the sound advice everyone, I really appreciate it, and you are all right. This's the reason that I put my life up on here, I feel that it's healthy to gather people's opinions on issues that aren't terribly personal. Thank you.. seriously

Dear John,

I have really started to like you in these past few weeks. You are a wonderful person and I, as so many posted before me, also believe you will not be alone next year if you do not choose it.

I'm sure there'd be girls waiting in line ;-)

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
